Final Weekend for A Christmas Carol
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 8, 2014 Contact: Jeffrey Dunn, Executive Director Administrative: (860) 283-8558 Box Office:  (860) 283-6250 Event Dates: A Christmas Carol   December 12,13 @ 8pm December 14 @ 2pm Location: Thomaston Opera House, 158 Main Street, Thomaston, CT Last weekend to see Dickens’ classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, showcased at the historic Thomaston Opera House. Holiday favorite, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, will show for one final weekend December 12,13 @ 8pm and December 14 @ 2pm. Three spirits take the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey through his past, present and future where he learns the true meaning of Christmas and life. This traditional re-telling of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic will enchant you and your family! With dazzling special effects, traditional storytelling, and colorful costumes, A CHRISTMAS CAROL has become a tradition that truly defines the spirit of the season. Whether it's flying ghosts or Scrooge’s scowls & “Bah humbug”s, there's something for everyone in Landmark Community Theatre’s production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.   In a review by OnStage, an online group of writers that promote and cover local theatre, critic Nancy Sasso Janis writes, “…a spectacular performance by Bob Lussier as the miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge is the star upon the Christmas tree. This actor makes Scrooge so believably miserable in the first act and then just as believably changed by the end of the second. His visit to the Cratchitt home unexpectedly brought a tear to my eye. Mr. Lussier, who played Javert last summer in Les Miserables, interacts with three wonderfully portrayed spirits. Jess Cocomazzi, a sophomore at Chase Collegiate School, is a treasure as Christmas Past. Brock Putnam is boisterous and whimsically Santaesque as Christmas Present, while Lynn D'Ambrosi is silently scary as Christmas Future.” TOH Friends and Restoration Committee Chair, Roy Bouffard exclaims “…that the costumes were wonderful, Barbara Piscopo and her ladies clearly worked hard.” “Seeing characters soar across the stage was exciting and the greatest thing about this show is that it gets you in the Christmas spirit!” Landmark Community theatre presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, directed by Dan Checovetes showing December 12th through December 14th, 2014 at the historic Thomaston Opera House, 158 Main Street, Thomaston CT 06787. Tickets are $23.50 for adults and $19.50 for seniors and students.  All seats are reserved.
