Landmark Community Theatre requests applicants
for their annual scholarship.
Landmark Community Theatre at the Thomaston Opera House is offering a scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing higher education. The scholarship will be awarded at the opening of LCT’s teen production of Sweeney Todd on August 10th . Previous award recipients include Emily Verdosci and Bailey Cummings of Waterbury Arts Magnet and Connor Dunn of Thomaston High School.
To be eligible for the LCT Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
a. Candidates must be a graduating high school senior continuing on to higher learning.
b. Demonstrate volunteerism within the community, specifically supporting Landmark Community Theatre through volunteer roles. Volunteer roles include, but are not limited to, acting, production crew, box office, and front of house positions.
c. Candidates must demonstrate academic achievement.
Eligible students include students from the regional community which Landmark Community Theatre serves.
The Scholarship committee shall be made up of members of Landmark Community Theatre’s Board of Directors as well as appointed staff and volunteers. Criteria will be weighted based on active volunteerism within Landmark Community Theatre and surrounding community organizations.
The scholarship application and essay must be completed and mailed by Monday, July 24, 2017 to be eligible for consideration. If choosing to email your application, the due date is Friday, July 28, 2017 to:
