The music of American legend, Johnny Cash, comes alive on stage in the musical, RING OF FIRE, at the Landmark Community Theatre
THOMASTON- Ring of Fire, the musical covering 32 of country rock legend Johnny Cash’s hits, opens Saturday, September 3rd at 8pm. With a small cast of 5, this unique concert-style production uses Cash’s music to tell the remarkable story of his life. Though never impersonated, each character represents Cash at different stages of his career, allowing the audience to travel back through time as they progress through his songs, hit after hit. Under the direction of Jim Luurtsema (Torrington), with music direction by Matt Albert (Manchester), both veterans of the LCT stage, Ring of Fire is a crowd-pleasin’ salute to who is considered to be one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century.
Starring Payton Turpin (Harwinton), Lori Holm (Southington), Robert Saunders (Thomaston), Edward Rosenblatt (Southington), and Michael Conroy (Harwinton), Ring of Fire shows September 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 at 8pm and September 4, 10, 18 at 2pm on the Thomaston Opera House main stage.
