The comedic genius behind Monty Python brings the hit musical, SPAMALOT, to the Thomaston Opera House.

THOMASTON- From the collaborators behind the hit comedic slapstick film, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” brings the Tony Award winning musical Spamalot to the Thomaston Opera House stage. Following the Arthurian legend, Spamalot parodies the legendary tale of King Arthur and his knights of the round table on their quest for the Holy Grail. Foster Evans Reese (Southbury) directs and choreographs the show, who was most recently celebrated for these same roles in Dreamgirls and Memphis, both on the Opera House main stage. The production stars Mensah Robinson (Danbury), most recently seen as “Jimmy” in Dreamgirls, and Ashley McLeod (Brookfield), who was last seen “Gurt” in LCT’s winter production of The Happy Elf, as “King Arthur” and “The Lady of the Lake” respectively. The knights of the round table consist of Jonathan Ross (Thomaston) as “Sir Lancelot,” Bob Lussier (Danbury) as “Sir Galahad,” Matt Cornish (Lakeside) as “Sir Robin,” and Rob Thornton (Barkhamsted) as “Sir Bedevere.” Not to be forgotten, “Patsy,” King Arthur’s trusty steed who sings the catchy upbeat tune “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” is played by Joe Guttadauro (Litchfield). With other hit tunes such as “Knights of the Round Table,” “The Song That Goes Like This,” and “You Won’t Succeed on Broadway,” this production is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
