THOMASTON - Phoenix Theater Company of Bristol, in a partnership with Landmark Community Theatre, is proud to produce their first show of the 2017 season, ROCK OF AGES, at the historic Thomaston Opera House running June 1 thru June 18.
Rock of Ages chronicles the love between wanna-be rocker Drew and would-be actress Sherrie. Set to a soundtrack featuring the music of Styx, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison, and more! Rock of Ages is the jukebox musical that will bring you back to a sexier time…the 80’s.
Phoenix alumni, Adam Boe (Enfield) and Dani Kay (Bantam), take on the lead roles of aspiring artists ‘Drew’ and ‘Sherrie.’ Rounding out the cast are: Quint Johnson (Northford) as rock star ‘Stacee Jaxx,’ Chad Dominique (Willington) as club owner ‘Dennis Dupree,’ Jess Bartolotta (Middletown) as ‘Justice Charlier,’ Jenn Lohmann (Glastonbury) as protesting City Planner ‘Regina,’ and Mark Summer (Middletown) as ‘Lonny,’ the show’s narrator.
Rock of Ages is under the direction of Chris Ryan, Phoenix Theater Company’s Executive Director, with choreography by Phoenix president, Keri Boe and music direction by Matt Durland. Showing June 1, 2, 9, 10, 16, 17 at 8pm and June 11 & 18 at 2pm.
