Introduction to Theater (Recommended Grades 1-3 or Beginners) 9am-9:50am
- This class brings the imaginative world of Fairy Tales to life - teaching children through theater games, exercises, and role playing. A great opportunity to make new friends and develop self-confidence.
Developing the Character (Recommended Grades 4-6 or Theater Novice) 10am-10:50am
- Students will learn through movement, vocal techniques, and stage prescene how to develop a believable character from a popular theater production. They will then apply the techniques they have learned to act out a scene, dance, and song from the production. **Production is TBD
Intro to Musical Theater (Recommended Grades 7-9 or Students with Musical Theater Experience) 11am-11:50am
- Students will develop a wide range of musical theater techniques through vocalizations and dance, creating a short performance piece and focusing on perfecting their audition. Exploring a variety of songs, working through the dramatic arcs of musical theatre scenes, and developing emotionally rich characters, students will work together to perform a short production piece.
