Senior Play Reading Class

Join Us for Play Readings & Script Analysis — A Senior Theatre Workshop at LCT!
Beginning April 7th and continuing through May 5th - Every Tuesday, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Have you ever watched a play and wondered what makes the story tick, or imagined yourself bringing a character to life from the page? Landmark Community Theatre's Play Readings & Script Analysis workshop is your invitation to find out. As part of our Senior Theatre Workshops series, this low-cost program gathers seniors and community members together at the historic LCT Opera House to read, explore, and discuss plays led by our theatre production staff. No experience is necessary — just curiosity, a love of stories, and a willingness to have fun. It's a wonderful chance to engage your imagination, share your voice, and connect with others who love the art of theatre.
This five-week workshop kicks off with a focus on monologues and character development, giving participants the tools to truly inhabit a role and understand what drives the characters they bring to life. The session builds toward an exciting final public reading, where participants will have the opportunity to share one or more pieces with an audience. Whether you're a lifelong theatre-goer, a former performer, or simply looking for a creative and welcoming community activity, this workshop has something for you. Seating is limited, so we encourage patrons, volunteers, and performers alike to reserve their spot — because at LCT, the arts truly belong to everyone.
