LCT Youth Theatre Spring Musical

LCT will be continuing to hold a Youth Theatre Spring Musical Classes beginning Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. The program is open to youth ages 8 through 13 years old. No previous experience is necessary to enroll. This is a theater intensive. Registration $175/per student

LCT is committed to provide a inclusive environment to all young people interested in the Arts. Scholarship opportunities are available. Those interested should email, Andrea Bingham, with a letter of intent. 

What to expect:

  • Classes begin on Saturday, March 15th and will continue to be held on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 5 pm to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm. Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes early to each class. Showing up when class begins or after is considered late.
  • Classes will end promptly at 7 pm or 12 pm respectively. Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes prior to the end of class to retrieve your students. In accordance with our child safety policy, an adult staff member cannot be left alone with a single student. In the event that you will be over 15 minutes late without communication, the student will be escorted down to the Thomaston police department to wait for pick-up where there is appropriate surveillance. 
  • Performances will require a ticket and be advertised to the general public. Each participant in the class will receive 2 complimentary tickets. You must call the Box office in order to redeem.
  • Parent supervisors will be required backstage during the performances. A sign-up sheet will be sent out prior to the performance dates.
  • Performances are scheduled for June 6th at 7 p.m. and June 7th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Students will be required to arrive at the theater 1.5 hours prior to the performance start time with hair and makeup done.
  • Attendance is mandatory for all performances and tech week rehearsals. Tech week schedule will be as follows: Saturday, May 31st 12 pm - 5 pm, June 2nd through June 4th 4:30 pm - 8:00pm and Thursday, June 5th 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm.
  • Any planned absences should be communicated to the staff prior to the first class. More than 3 unexcused absences may be subject to removal from songs, dances, or scenes. Sudden illness or death in the family does not count as an unexcused absence.
  • All students are expected to rehearse what they have learned at home prior to returning to class. Memorizing lines, choreography, and songs if needed.
  • Students are expected to collaborate with their peers positively. Any accusations of bullying or misconduct will be thoroughly investigated by the Youth Education Director and the program staff. If it has been determined that a student has violated our policies, they will be removed from the program and no refund provided.
  • Videos of choreography and music will be shared with the email you provided. Please be sure to check your email for these videos, as some are time sensitive in nature. 
  • Students are responsible for their script. If the script is lost or damaged, it is the parent’s responsibility to replace it.
  • Students should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing they can move in to every rehearsal.
  • Students should bring a water bottle with them. Water is available in the theater.
